For the longest time I wanted to transform my personal physique into something it’s never been. I wanted to become exceptionally strong, build muscle, lose body fat and most importantly live a healthier lifestyle. About 10 years ago, I decided to join a gym and make these goals of mine reality. After months of strenuous effort I was struggling to say the least. I only knew the basics about fitness, fat loss and nutrition. For example, I would run hours upon hours on a treadmill and make no progress. I desperately wanted to hire a personal trainer, but at the time I was unsure if they could even help me as well as I was incredibly nervous to approach one. However, after 6 months of no progress towards my goals, I simply had enough! I finally got the courage to hire a personal trainer, this decision marked the most crucial and life-changing step in my health and fitness journey. Hiring a personal trainer supplied me with extensive knowledge in weights, nutrition, alternative exercises, therapeutic measures and overall health and well-being. As a long term fitness enthusiast I decided to turn my passion into a career and apply all the knowledge I learned along the way into helping others.

I’ve trained in countless gyms all over Long Island and NYC because I wanted to gain as much knowledge and information as I could to really perform and be at my best but also teach and help others to do the same. After getting my personal trainer certification from NASM I pursued a full time position as a personal trainer. With my substantial knowledge of fitness, functional movement and nutrition I am ready to help you and any individual with any fitness goals.

Growing up I was always involved in sports I guess you could say I was an athlete. But you could also say I was the fat kid. Ever since I can remember I have been over weight. Playing football I was forced to play with kids older than me where I still struggled to make weight. At doctors appointments I was told how I would soon develop diabetes if my habits didn’t change. I had to wear size 44 pants and 3xl shirts to feel comfortable walking around high school. I even broke a desk because I was so heavy. This continued for most of my life until I finally reached my breaking point. I stepped on the scale at football practice and saw the numbers 314 come up on the screen. This was the heaviest I had ever been and the worst I ever felt. Soon after I ended my football career and didn’t know what to do with myself. I remember sitting at the end of my bed in tears thinking that if I didn’t make a change I would surely die because of my obesity. It was then that I decided to make a change that would save my life. I began to slowly but surely lose weight with the hope of one day competing as a bodybuilder, never knowing if It would be possible. But with the help of my trainer Anthony Tumminello I did the unthinkable. I went from a 314 pound obese depressed kid, to a shredded 198 pound confident man. From some of the worst times in my life to some of the best. All thanks to my trainer!

My past and current experiences are what drive me to be an amazing trainer. My life was saved and transformed because of one and now I live to help others who are in similar situations. I’ve been where you are and I know how you feel, you may think it’s impossible and that life’s over but I can promise you it’s not and if you’re willing to put the work in, anything is possible!

Anthony Scalza

Growing up ive always played competitive sports, in high school, focusing on soccer and track year round. After graduating high school and not pursuing sports in college, I decided to join a gym to stay in shape. Shortly after joining the gym I feel in love with it and it became my passion, which lead me into the bodybuilding lifestyle.. At this point I switched my major from criminal justice to exercise science because I was fascinated with the human body and wanted to learn more about it and how I could apply this new knowledge to my own training. Once i was able to apply proper dieting & training based off science, my results skyrocketed and I was able to take my physique to new levels. After a few years of proper diet & training I heard about this new division that had just started, Mens Physique and thought to myself, this is actually an achievable and a desirable look. So my competitive side kicked in and I decided I would give it a shot. In just a couple of years I went from doing my first amateur show in 2014 to competing at the 2017 Olympia, which is the biggest bodybuilding show in the world. As a personal trainer I apply not only background in exercise science, but also my years of experience which I’ve had proven success with. I want my clients to succeed and see results just as bad, if not more than they do. Wether you are a beginner or an advanced athlete/bodybuilder I’m confident that I can help you reach your goals.
